It was at the age of 19 that Francesco Cella arrived in Paris in 1905. Born in Piacenza in Emilia (Italy), cradle of Italian gastronomy and bathed in this atmosphere during all his childhood it is quite natural that in 1913 , he opened the first Italian specialty store in Paris (rue de Passy). This store will be called Cella.
In 1936, his son-in-law Rino Davoli, will take over the case and the name Davoli will appear for the first time on the pediment of the store to never leave it. Rino Davoli will take the opportunity to develop the manufacturing of charcuterie which will soon be renowned throughout Paris.
